After a long absence from the classic races of our province, this morning I Massi and we decided to run the 13 th Walk in Castiglione del Cardinale Olona, \u200b\u200btaking advantage of the opportunity to make a good last training session ahead of the Giro del Lago of next week.
Excellent turnout of runners: the starters to the 1130 competition organized by impeccably GS Walker San Carlo di Varese. Race suitable for every type of athlete: the paths it measured 6, 14 and 21 km.
Depart from the Fishermen at the Lake of Castiglione Olona. After skirting the river Olona and "climbed" the tough climb to Castelseprio at 8 km we entered the woods, where the route was hard for the presence of mud and puddles due to the rain of recent days. Even in the woods the ups and downs out there, and our attention was all about preserving the ankles by the numerous traps soil, but despite this a couple of falls per person has slowed our pace. The second part of the race took place mostly in the woods, passing the towns of Castelseprio, Gorn, Moray and then back again to Castiglione.
At the finish marked the GPS just over 20 km ... we looked and we continued for another km ... just to complete a half marathon. Eventually the tracks were 21.4 km in 1 hour and 52 minutes, passing tourists, but today I had the time, the lake is waiting for us!
